(Concordia, Houston), who passed away on Wednesday.  His funeral will be 
10 a.m. on Saturday, May 30, at Immanuel, Giddings

Jacob Geske, infant son of Rev. Jeff & Laura Geske (Prince of Peace, 
Amarillo) now recovering at home after 20 days in the hospital in Kansas

DISTRICT CONVENTION
Hotel Reservations and Convention Registration

Registration for the Texas District Convention, June 25-28 continues and 
participants can reserve a room at the Dallas InterContinental Hotel 
until the rooms are gone.

Two ways to do this are:

1)   Go to the District Website:  www.txdistlcms.org"  and select 
"District            
       Convention" under the "Event" quick-link. Then 'click' on  
"Online Hotel
       Reservation"
   
2)   Call the hotel directly mentioning that you are attending the Texas 
District
       Convention (1-972-386-6000; M-F, 8-5).

The Convention Registration webpage will remain open through June 1 
(Select "District Convention" and 'click' the "Register Now" button).  
People may register at the convention, but will have to wait for name 
tags to be printed.  We are looking forward to our time together.

2009 CAMPUS MINISTRY SURVEYS

The greatest challenge for our LCMS campus ministries is getting current 
home addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses of students who will 
be going to their college campuses this fall. Your participation in this 
district wide survey is the only way we can acquire this information.
 
This year we encourage you to use the "ONLINE" procedure we offered last 
year.  To access this form you will need to send an email request to 
Carole Stevenson at:  cms121 at txdistlcms.org.   You will then be send the 
link to register and submit the information online.  If you have 
questions or concerns please call Carole at (800) 951-3478 or (512) 
926-4272.

For those of you who would prefer to manually enter the information and 
mail in a completed survey form, a copy of the survey card is available 
in "pdf" format at the following link (the instructions and mailing 
address are on the form.):
