OUR CHRISTIAN LOVE AND SYMPATHY TO...

The family and friends of Vikki Kieffer (former teacher of Tomball 
Lutheran School and Salem Lutheran School,Tomball) who passed away 
Sunday, May 10, following a massive heart attack. A memorial service was 
held at Covenant Lutheran Church,Houston, Saturday, May 16.

Rev. Russell Tieken and family (St. Paul, Denton) whose mother passed 
into heaven on Saturday, May 16.  Her funeral was held at St. Paul on 
Wednesday, May 20.

Mr. Burgess Etzel (Served BOD LHigh, Houston, Lay Del. to sever LCMS 
Conv.), father of Rev. Red Etzel (Concordia, Houston), Burgess is at 
home in hospice care.  He was recently diagnosed with adeno carcinoma.

Jacob Geske, infant son of Rev. Jeff & Laura Geske (Prince of Peace, 
Amarillo) discharged this morning and driving home to Amarillo tomorrow!
Please pray for continued healing and weight gain for Jacob, healing for 
Joy, and safe travel for our family.

LFOT POSITION

With the planned retirement of Rev. Gary Pohl on December 31, 2009, the 
Lutheran Foundation of Texas seeks to fill the position of Chief 
Executive Officer (CEO). This LCMS servant leader works with a 
nine-member Board of Directors and is accountable for growing and 
developing all aspects of the ministry of LFOT including planned giving, 
trust administration, investments, donor relations and staff
