on Tuesday, April 29th. Please keep Bonnie and the medical team in your 
prayers.

Jackie, mother of Connie Robinson, (EC Director Cross Point, Katy) 
scheduling open heart surgery to replace her aorta.

2008 Advent – Christmas Preaching Workshop - October 27-28
Hosted by Circuit 36 & Houston Area Chili Conference. The guest
presenter, Dr Tim Saleska, Concordia, St Louis will take us through the
appointed Old Testament pericopes for Advent. The cost is $45 includes
assorted break food items for two days, lunch on Monday, and Tuesday,
included.
The Professional Church Workers Conference is scheduled for October 
19-21, 2008 at Gloria Dei, Houston. One of the major presenters will be 
Jim Henderson, one of the authors of the book: "Jim and Casper Go to 
Church." In addition there will be numerous sectionals to pick from. For 
that we would like your input. Please go to the following website and

would be of great help to the committee.

National LCMS Worship Conference
“Sing to the Lord a New Song”

The LCMS Commission on Worship invites pastors, musicians, and any 
others interested in the church’s worship to attend the 2008 Institute 
on Liturgy, Preaching, and Church Music. This third national worship 
conference will be held on the campus of Concordia University Nebraska 
in Seward on July 22–25, 2008

Additional special features of the conference include:
• A national High School Honor Choir will offer a unique opportunity for 
Lutheran high school students to perform with noted musicians. For more

• A Select Children’s Choir, students grades 5–8, will enjoy a week of 
musical activities and contribute to the conference worship. For more

registration fee is only $50 for a week of fun activities. Early-bird

Pastoral Survey

The Texas District Committee on Ministerial Health (CMH) is sending all 
pastors of the TX Dist. who have e-mail addresses a survey within the 
next few days. This survey is to seek information helpful for the CMH in 
planning it's ministry to the district pastors and their families. The 
survey is anonymous, but all who complete it will receive a gift of 
$20.00 by following the directions at the end of the survey. All pastors 
are encouraged to complete the survey within 7-10 days of receiving it.
