OUR CHRISTIAN LOVE AND SYMPATHY TO...

THE FAMILY OF DON GRAF (Board of Regents, Concordia, Austin) on the 
death of his mother, Mildred (widow of REV. ART GRAF), who passed away 
on Tuesday, February 27. A memorial service was held Thursday, March 1 
at Hope Lutheran in Lubbock, TX.

THE FAMILY OF DAVID BERGMAN (Pastor, Bethlehem, Palestine, TX) and his 
wife, Shirley, as they mourn the loss of Shirley's father, Milton 
Kiesow, who died last Friday, February 23rd. A funeral service was held 
on Tuesday, February 27th at Beautiful Savior Lutheran in Temp, AZ.

Katie Williams (Teacher, St. John Preschool, Cypress), involved in a car 
accident on February 17th (Katie's friend/passenger Blake was killed in 
the accident). Since then, she has undergone 4 surgeries. Please keep 
Katie and her family (mother, Claudia Williams, Teacher, St. John 
Preschool, Cypress) in your prayers for physical and emotional healing.

Have you….. Tried 50 Days Ablaze!?
This mission outreach journey is intended for individual and 
congregational spiritual growth and commitment. These materials were 
developed by St. Luke Lutheran Church, Cabot, Pennsylvania.

50 Days Ablaze! is intended to be a journey for members of the 
congregation to grow spiritually in their awareness and understanding of 
Christ’s Great Commission. It coincides with The Lutheran 
Church—Missouri Synod’s Ablaze! initiative to reach 100 million people 
by the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation in 2017. You can download it

A Choral Vespers and Hymn Sing will be presented by the Music Department 
of Concordia University, Austin, on Saturday, March 3, at 7:30. The 
order of Vespers, an evening service which has its roots in the earliest 
ages of Christian worship, is a service of Psalms, readings, and 
prayers. The University Choir will sing several selections, including 
works by Handel, Mendelssohn, and Sir John Stainer’s setting of God So 
Loved the World. The congregation will have the opportunity to sing many 
favorite hymns.

Organist and choir director is Prof. Jon Eifert. The service will be 
held at Birkmann Chapel on the Concordia campus. A free-will offering
