who has been diagnosed with anemia and is undergoing tests for a brain 
tumor and blood tests for lymphoma.

*RAY AND KATHRYN SCHKADE (Emeritus)* who has been hospitalized, will 
likely go home on Saturday, June 16, and will have continued treatment 
with home health care.

Partner Ministry)* at the birth of their first grandson, James Timothy, 
born in Norfolk, VA, where Timothy is stationed in the Navy.

*Prayer Retreat . . . October 1-3*
 
Around ten years ago I attended my first Prayer Retreat. It was a time 
spiritual and relational growth. Gathering with a couple dozen other 
people whom God is leading to mature their faith, produces formative 
prayers. That coupled with the personal time which Jesus also sought is 
rewarding and lasting.
 
You may think you have to leave behind so much to take time to attend a 
Prayer Retreat. I believe you cant afford not to make this time. When 
you return you'll be much better equipped to do the tasks the Lord has 
given you because of the growth that accompanies learning to follow the 
direction of First Thessalonians 5:17, " pray continually."
