OUR CHRISTIAN LOVE AND SYMPATHY TO . . .
NEIL AND SHERIDAN BOCKELMANN (Bethel, Bryan) on the death
of Neil’s father on Friday September 15th. Christian burial was given to
Pastor Bockelmann’s father on Monday September 18th at Zion Lutheran
Church in Beecher, Illinois.
RAY AND KATHRYN SCHKADE, on the death of Ray's sister,
Joyce Carleston, who died early Tuesday morning in a Boston, MA hospital,
where she has been confined in ICU for several weeks with heart and lung
problems. She and her husband, Herbert, were visiting with their daughter
Kimberly, son-in-law Seth, and their two grandchildren in Duxbury, MA, near
Boston. A memorial service is scheduled for 3 PM on Sunday, Sept 24,
at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Giddings.
DAVID AND TINA SYMM (ST. JOHN, LARIAT, FARWELL) on the
death of Tina's brother, Earl Sandlin, on September 6. Services were held
on September 16 in Florida.

St. Paul Lutheran School, Ft. Worth, and Trinity Lutheran School, Klein
both named National Blue Ribbon of Excellence Schools!
Two of the three Lutheran Schools in the Nation.
In news just released by The United States Department of Education
announcing the National Blue Ribbon of Excellence Schools across the
country two of the three Lutheran Schools are from Texas.
St. Paul Lutheran School, Ft. Worth, Texas, and
Trinity Lutheran School, Klein, have been named as
National Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence.
Congratulations to Mr. Tom Geyer, principal, the Rev. John Messmann,
and the entire faculty and staff and congregation at St. Paul Lutheran
School, Ft. Worth, Texas. We thank God for the very vibrant ministry
taking place at St. Paul, Fort Worth. St. Paul has long been known as a
school of academic excellence.
Trinity Lutheran School, Klein, Texas, under the very able leadership of
Principal Jim Wilson and the Rev. Richard Noack and with an outstanding
faculty and staff, has continued to provide a school of excellence for its
students. Congratulations to Trinity Lutheran School.
We praise God for these two outstanding Lutheran schools who have been
recognized by the United States Department of Education, and for all the
Lutheran schools across our District and the Nation who share the truth
of God’s Word and His love in Jesus Christ with students and families
each day.
