Subject:  Election of Advisory Commissioned Minister Delegates to the 2007
Synodical Convention

 

 

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

 

Greetings in the name of our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ!

 

According to Bylaw 3.09 of the Handbook of Synod every district shall send
to the Synodical Convention one advisory delegate for every 60 commissioned
ministers on the roster of Synod.   The Synodical Convention will take place
July 14-19, 2007.

 

This letter is a call for candidates for all those on your staff, including
yourself, who are commissioned ministers of the roster of Synod and who are
willing and able to attend the

July 14-19, 2007 Synodical Convention as an advisory delegate.

 

Your assistance is requested.  Please return the enclosed form either by
e-mail or fax to Mrs. Lee Gaines at lgaines at txdistlcms.org
<mailto:cmcconnell at txdistlcms.org>  or 1-512-926-1006 by September 18, 2006.

Please also include an e-mail address where you can be reached.

 

A list of all those candidates who are willing and able to serve as an
advisory delegate will be 

E-mailed to you by September 25th.  Please make a copy of that list and
distribute it to all the commissioned ministers of your staff asking them to
vote for 10 delegates.   Then e-mail or fax back the results of your local
"voting" to Lee by October 6th.   [Please include the specific numbers of
votes that each candidate received.]  Our elected advisory delegates will be
announced at the Texas District Educators' Conference, November 19-21, 2006.
